In a laser PMU (eyebrows) removal process, the technician moves a laser over the tattooed area. Unlike a constant beam from a laser pointer, the lasers used for PMU removal emit bursts of light energy. These bursts of energy go through the skin and are absorbed by the PMU ink. The laser breaks down the ink particles into smaller fragments. Your body’s immune system will then naturally eliminate these smaller ink particles over the following weeks. This gradual process results in the lightening of your permanent makeup or tattoo after each laser removal session.
